Projects by young researchers in memory of Roberto Revelli

On May 6th 2023, Roberto Revelli, professor of Hydraulics in our Department, passed away suddenly, leaving behind a void in the lives of his friends, colleagues and students.

To remember and honour Roberto, and in recognition of his great commitment to young people, it was decided to dedicate a significant portion of the research funds he had raised to financing research projects coordinated by the youngest members of the Department, namely fixed-term researchers.

Therefore, a call for proposals was launched inviting submissions of research projects related to Roberto’s research activities and scientific interests. Participation was widespread, as demonstrated by the 15 projects submitted, of which 6 were approved for funding after a careful evaluation process. These research projects cover a range of topics and testify to the great curiosity and open-mindedness that always characterised Roberto’s approach to university life.
