A new logo for DIATI

To strengthen its external recognizability and reinforce the sense of belonging within its community, DIATI has adopted a new logo. After several months of internal brainstorming and considerations, the new logo aims to represent the Department’s scientific and international vocation.

The distinctive element is the large acronym "DIATI" overlaid on a stylized globe that recalls the Department’s research themes—related to the environment, land, and infrastructure—as well as the global dimension of the various challenges that need to be tackled in these fields, primarily those regarding the ecological and climate transition. The globe, with its technical and interconnected lines, symbolizes a multidisciplinary approach to research, innovation, and sustainability.

The goal is to represent a Department that is projected toward the future while maintaining strong roots in the past and a close connection to the local territory. The overall design has been kept elegant and institutional, with a sober color palette that, together with a modern typographic choice, conveys solidity, professionalism, and openness to innovation.
