GITISA Young 2026
From June 10 to 12, 2026, the Politecnico di Torino will host GITISA Young 2026, the second edition of the national conference dedicated to young researchers in the field of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering.
The initiative, promoted by the Gruppo Italiano di Ingegneria Sanitaria-Ambientale (GITISA) in collaboration with the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering (DIATI) of Politecnico di Torino, represents an opportunity for scientific exchange among PhD students, research fellows, postdoctoral researchers, young researchers, and faculty members from several Italian universities.
The conference will take place at Castello del Valentino, the historic campus of the Politecnico di Torino and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and will feature plenary sessions, technical sessions, discussion panels, and interdisciplinary exchanges on the main topics of sanitary and environmental engineering: wastewater treatment, waste management, site remediation, air quality, circular economy, process sustainability, and emerging environmental challenges.
GITISA Young 2026 was created with the aim of promoting the exchange of experiences among young scholars, enhancing the value of their scientific contributions, and fostering dialogue with academia, public institutions, environmental service providers, and professionals working in the sector.
The event is organized with the support of the sponsors SMAT – Società Metropolitana Acque Torino S.p.A., TRM S.p.A. – Gruppo Iren, Gruppo Vergero, Gruppo Marazzato, SRIA – Studio Rosso Ingegneri Associati Srl, and Pi Greco Industry Solutions s.r.l.
