2021 TRB Annual Meeting : 100° Annual Meeting

The Transportation Research Board is a division of the US National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine and promotes innovation and progress in transport through research in an objective and interdisciplinary context.

Every year it organizes the TBR Annual Meeting, which brings together policy makers, researchers and representatives of government and industry; this year has reached its 100th edition, that will be held online throughout the month of January and that attracted about 18000 transport professionals.

DIATI is present at the event in 3 poster sessions:
1. Miriam Pirra shows the work carried out within the project TinnGO, "If You Can’t Write Diversity into Future Transport, Then What’s the Point? You Don’t Create New Worlds to Give Them All the Same Limits of the Old Ones" (25/01 at 11.30 am)
2. Andrea Chicco and Marco Diana show some results of the STARS project, "The Spatial Reconfiguration of Parking Demand Due to Car sharing Diffusion: a Simulated Scenario for the Cities of Milan and Turin (Italy)" (25/01 at 4.00 pm)
3. Marco Bassani presents two research activities (25/01 at 11.30 am):
a. the first with Alberto Portera, entitled "An Experimental Investigation into Driver Behavior along Curved and Parallel Diverging Terminals of Exit Interchange Ramps";
b. the second with Abrar Hazoor and Alessandra Lioi, entitled "Development of a New Intelligent Speed Adaptation System Based on Available Sight Distance to Promote Safe Speed Decisions along Highways".
