Alberto Godio, professor of Environmental Geophysics at the Politecnico di Torino; after the master degree, he has obtained the doctorate in seismic tomography in 1993. He was involved in some researches on the application of geophysical techniques in environmental and civil engineering and in the development of electrical and electromagnetic methods for the monitoring of soil and groundwater pollution. He has been involved in 3 projects, funded by EU, on the development of geophysical methods for application in mining and environmental problems.
He works as scientific consultant on environmental problems for international company such as Teksid S.p.A. and San Pellegrino S.p.A.
He is responsible of the research unit for projects, funded by MIUR (PRIN 2004 - PRIN2006 - FIRB 2003) and has the responsability of a research unit in a project of FP7 funded by EU. He coordinates the geophysical activity n the frame of a Life Project on the Full scale use of liquid injection, for innovative control of waste moisture to enhance biogas production in pre treated waste landfill (Bio.Lea.R) (2010-2014). He is author and co-author of 45 papers on peer-reviewed journal and more than 100 contributions on national and international conferences.
